Google to Build High-Speed Broadband Networks – Reviews by PC Magazine

Google plans to build and test ultra high-speed broadband networks in a small number of trial locations across the U.S., and is promising speeds up to 1 gigabit per second. These will be fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) connections that are “100 times faster than what most Americans have access to today,” according to Google.

    Let’s all hope that the City follows-up on this opportunity. It’s a long shot, but it would be a tremendous benefit to everything Red Wing.

    -My hat is off to Kent for reminding the people of Red Wing and it’s decision makers of the importance of keeping the City on the cutting edge of technology.
