The city of Red Wing has posted a document regarding the sale of MNGL here.
Filed under Accountability, Economic Development, Mississippi National Golf Links, Red Wing, Red Wing City Council
Three questions not addressed: 1- Was the city required to have three appraisals by the recent legislation and did they? 2- If sold, will this property go back onto the tax sheets? 3-Will the city receive payment in full at time of sale or is this a type of a contract that extends the payment out for years? Just curious, wondering if the cons of selling public land that our next generation will never be able to enjoy as public property, the asset it is, does the city (the people) realize a benefit or is this just another way for the city to afford to maintain its red ink liabilities in other areas while justifying selling its assets?
