I now understand why Red Wing IS one of the HIGHEST CITIES in MN that has a 1.2 MILLION DOLLAR FUNDING GAP……Review the 2008 lopsided lease the City finance dept approved and Hallock’s logic for selling the course !!!!!!! Very frightening how this golf course was SET UP TO FAIL.
I feel his fidiciary responsibilities have been and are grossly negligent.

How much would it cost the city to simply break this terrible lease? Even with a lawsuit, would we be financially put back as the losses realized with continuing the dealings with this course manager? (Not like RW doesn’t have experience in this arena) Why are we covering this bond when I understood this was the responsibility of Wendell? He is a property manager and now he has purchasing interest to turn around and sell off parcels for a hotel? Can we see the writing on the wall as someone intends to benefit on this deal and it will not be the citizens! Perhaps with a good manager, a good business plan and a lease written to benefit the citizens, this would not be a white elephant in the room. Lets sell the Incinerator first and go from there, hire a new course manager and investigate whether Mr. Hallocks judiciary duties have been compromised. We do not have to take this steam rolling from the council and its time we realize this.
