Worse than an idea worse than it seems…an idea in search of a problem. Voter ID solves only one problem, voter impersonation. There is not one documented case of voter impersonation in Minnesota history. ID’s do not give information on voter status, i.e. whether the voter is allowed to vote. So what does voter ID other than limit certain kinds of voters…poor, minority and poor elderly voters.
